I was in Valencia last November, I felt very safe travelling solo during the day and going out for dinner. I usually avoid staying out after dinner in almost all cities I visit if I’m alone but that’s my personal preference. The food was really good and cheap and I loved the paella I tried in a couple of restaurants in the neighbourhood La Xerea. I stayed at the hostel “The venue Hostel”, it was well connected but a bit far from the center and there was not a lot of social life, it was quite empty at the time I visited. Overall I loved the city and I had a nice and relaxing break by myself 😊

Perfect city to just stroll around - the vibe is so good. Lots of cafes and bars on the streets to hang around with a lot of people even during the week. I was there at the beginning of November and the weather was perfect. Do not buy any public transportation tickets in advance, believe me you won‘t need that much because strolling around is way nicer.

Solo travel experience

I went on my first solo trip in September last year to Valencia and absolutely loved it. I stayed in a small hotel right by the beach. I felt safe, the weather was perfect, and the city was relatively cheap. Everyone I met was nice and friendly, but I would suggest learning some basic Spanish to make communication easier.

Group travel experience

Amazing city that has a lot to offer. A beautiful town with old buildings and small streets where you can do sightseeing, a national park close by, a lot of pubs and clubs to go partying, an amazing beach where a lot of young people meet to play volleyball or go swimming and amazing people. Definitely a city worth visiting!

Valencia is amazing. I had two incredible tours, one around the city of art and science with wine/tapas tasting afterwards, and another to the mineral thermal springs, which are located just outside the city. Both were definitely the highlight of my trip. I was there for four days, felt safe, and wished I had stayed there longer.

I stayed in a mixed gender hostel and I felt safe all the time. At the time there was a corona curfew and we couldn't be outside after 10 pm. Overall fun and an artistic city with a lot of options to go out.

Valencia is wonderful! I had the most delicious meal of my life at Canalla Bistro (near Ruzafa). I loved the central location of my hotel: Ayre Astoria Palace, which is located on a beautiful square. Out of the numerous museums, my favourite was the Centro del Carmen. There are markets, museums, gardens (which I liked a lot!), amazing architecture, etc. This was a great trip (and I travel a lot).

To do: - Plaza de la Virgen - Ciutat Vella - Central Market - Turia Park - City of Arts and Sciences Safety: I felt safe all the time. Recommendations: Generally, I love Spain, and Valencia seems to me the most livable place that I've visited there.

I have lived in Valencia for 7 years, and I have always felt really safe, I can walk at night alone after clubbing and never had a bad experience except one time where a homeless guy kept following me, I called the police and the came really quickly. Police do rounds in cars very often in the city and at night. For stealing my friend once had a bad experience as when we entered his house one day he found that someone came inside and stole some stuff. Except these two situations I never had or saw anything bad happening but once again always be safe girlies 💕

I think valencia is overall very safe city for women traveling alone. So far i have never felt unsafe or worried about my own safety walking and been alone in the city. Always is good to be aware of the sura and also check the bad or less safer parts of the city, so you don’t find yourself in a bad situation.

Felt safe which was most important and lots to fo there. People are very friendly especially in El Carmen, old town. Very bohemian place. Lots of places to choose from and price points.
