Solo travel experience

I traveled to Singapore for one weekend from the Philippines. It was a last minute trip and I felt better booking the trip knowing I had family there at that time. I stayed in a little hotel away from all of the action and I took Lyft for most of my time in Singapore. Next time I will book closer to Sentosa and downtown so it is more convenient. I felt relatively safe traveling on my own and would definitely go back!

It’s the safest city I’ve ever been. Even during late night, walking solo in little streets feels safe. The rules in Singapore are strict and this leads to a very respectful environment. If you cross the road with a man, the man will do two steps on the opposite side than you to avoid touching you by any chance. They want to avoid troubles. Enjoy the city (which is amazing) in the safest mood even if you are a female solo traveller!

I felt safe! There were so many things to do and it was very very easy to get around especially as a solo female traveler! It was quite pricey, food was good and I usually would get around via car service like Uber, or walking. Sometimes the metro/train too!

Singapore is a great place to visit, however it is quite expensive. I felt very safe walking around, even at night. There is plenty of things to do for a couple of days but you don’t generally need any more time than that. I visited Sentosa island to go to Universal Studios which was fun but very expensive. Marina bay is definitely a must see and there is a free light show there at night. I stayed at Wanderloft Capsule Hostel which I would rate a 3/5. The bed was good and quite enclosed so you could have privacy however the bathrooms and other areas of the accomodation definitely need some maintenance as it did not feel clean. The transport on the train is super cheap and easy to navigate so I never needed to take a taxi or Grab car, even getting to and from the airport.

Great City to explore. An Overall really safe place. Accomodation is expensive, but Food can be cheap and delicious in the Hawker Centers. Drinks in the evening are mostly expensive as well, especially in some rooftop bars, but it's worth it🤭

I had a great experience. It was a good size for seeing around in short time. People are kind. City is clean. Food is tasty. Only bad point is that many things are more expensive. But you can get affordable price and tasty food at hookers.

I felt very safe, I went everywhere, late at night alone and never felt threatened. Singapore is not cheap, but everything there is affordable. I ate at Hawker Centres, which are very good in terms of real, local cuisine.

I loved traveling to Singapore, I've stayed there for an exchange experience as a student and it was just amazing. Definitely recommend mala food if you like spicy food and definitely try indian food and don't forget to try kaya toast with egg for breakfast! Also, my favorite area was kampong glam, but overall I enjoyed Singaporean contrasts.

Singapore was amazing. I never felt threatened there. Super clean, super modern and everyone was incredibly friendly.

Safe to roam around alone. Not much of a concern. Stay to take public transport. Most people can speak English thus communication will not be a problem. Money changer available at airport, town. Hotel rate reasonably

always take reasonable safety precautions, but don't worry! almost no crime ever occurs here. feel free to walk around at night, as our streets are well lit. in the very unlikely case of an emergency, police are quick to respond.

Singapore is super safe for women! Guys are largely respectful. Foodie paradise. We have excellent international cuisine, you name it we have it done really really well (price tag tho may be the issue here haha) To save money eat at our hawkers!!! Awesome food at a decent price point. Avoid cafes!!! Food is expensive and at times not reliably delicious. Gmaps is very reliable here. For transport, food delivery you can use Grab.

Singapore is extremely safe for both young and female solo travellers! Many would say that Singapore is rather expensive but in my opinion it is because tourists aren’t finding the local gems. Eating out in Singapore can be extremely cheap if you go to the right places such as coffee shops or hawker centres and if you are interested in eating authentic food these are the places to be as many owners of these stores have been honing their skills for the past 30 years. Furthermore you do not need to pay to appreciate Singapore’s attractions. Things like the Marina Bay area are a sight to behold and it’s all for free!

Very safe for solo female travellers, like you can literally leave your laptop in a cafe, go to the toilet, and no one would take it. Not much to do for a long trip so try to make it a short one. You can spend a day in sentosa and maybe 1-2 days exploring all the other tourist attractions. It’s pretty expensive to eat around these tourist areas though, especially restaurants. Opt for hawkers centres, food courts, and coffee shops for more affordable dining!

A sunny tropical island perfect for those who are escaping the winter season in their own countries! Lovely people and so much food that are cheap and good. Would definitely come back again although it’s expensive.

Go to Sentosa and stroll along the beaches. Depending on when you're there, check out a festival or art exhibition, as well as visit some rooftop bars, walk around Marina Bay, go to the Gardens by the Bay in the evening and walk through Tiong Bahru. Singapore is amazing, I used to live there.
