Geneva is a wonderful city where I felt very safe. The public transportation network in Switzerland is absolutely amazing. The Christmas market is enchanting. There are plenty of stalls with traditional Swiss food as well as dishes from around the world. It's a nice place to take a walk, have a drink and eat a snack. The river and the lake are beautiful for walks, and taking a day trip is easy, both Annecy and Lausanne are great.

Geneva is a safe place for us to walk, to live and meet people doesn’t matter the time. I feel comfortable here to live and get the bus alone at midnight or even at 6AM coming back home after the club.
Posted: May 13, 2024Geneva is safe, I only suggest to avoid some specific places, like the train station during night or the surrounding next to the river (Stand area), but in general it’s a safe place. In my opinion Rive Gauche is safest :)

The home of the most instrumental organisations and institutions of our time Worth a visit Must go to the UN office, visit Lake Geneva and the surroundings at Rolex office Talk to people around you you may run into an activist, a writer, a leader just down the street. A place of action and a place you need to be at
Posted: June 21, 2023City with a posh reputation, but turned out to be very "boho" and have some French charms. Nice cafes and nice to sit by the lake. Maybe slightly cheaper to drink a coffee in Geneva than in Zurich. Good city for some days!
